Course Overview

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the GNM programme must fulfil the following requirements:

• Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply.

• Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) from a recognized board.

• Candidates from the Science stream are preferred with a minimum of 45% marks; however, eligible candidates from the Arts stream may also apply.

• Candidates who have passed from State Open Schools recognized by the State Government or the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) are also eligible.

• Must be 17 years of age at the time of admission and should not exceed 35 years.

• A 5% relaxation in qualifying marks is applicable for eligible SC/ST candidates as per prevailing norms.

• Candidates must be medically fit.

• Registered ANM candidates with pass marks are also eligible.

• Admission is based on the SSUHS General Entrance Examination (GEE), and candidates must secure the prescribed cutoff marks.
